It seems weird

I'm having trouble posting something after the posts about Luke. It seems weird to post a craft or something like that. It all seems so silly and trivial. I felt like I needed to clarify that, yet at the same time there is no denying that life continues to go on in the midst of everything.

I'm headed to the craft store today to get some supplies. I'm going to make a guest book for Luke's hospital room. I bought a notebook already and now I need to go get some paper and embellishments to alter it. I also need to check out my options for cutting out those 500 stars. I'm hoping to find a sizable star punch. I'll post pics of the guest book when it is completed.

  1. Hi Shannon,
I am with you on the posts, this really puts life into perspective. My life seems trivial compared to the journeys of so many others.
Ben's school has a Die Cut machine that i am sure I could use to help punch out the stars. If you want help let me know.

  3. As the body of Christ we all have different jobs. I guess one way to look at it, is you are a healthy part right now, and available to serve. Don't feel weird. Everything you do will be much appreciated.

  4. Kim is so right, God has a purpose in this and as I am watching the comments come in for prayers for Luke I am amazed at the greatness of His purpose.

  6. I've had a hard time with it too. Life is so short. My mom works with people who are disabled everyday, and in that I praise the Lord that I can exercise and take care of my kids. It is a reminder that each day is a blessing and we should celebrate it. I love the song "praise you in this storm". His dad surely is. What a testimony. Please keep us updated on Luke and how he is doing for those of us who don't know his family.

  7. Hello Luke,

We meet you at your Grandmother's retirement party from Cornerstone. Thank you are asking for prayers - I just wanted to say hello and my family will be praying for you from Vancouver, Washington.

I am wishing you a day full of great big smiles and bright blue skies. I would like to share a Knock Knock joke with you:

    Knock Knock
    Who's there?
    Aardvark!
    Aardvark who?
Aardvark a hundred miles for one of your smiles!

I hope you thought this was funny; I sure did! I know your grandmother would walk one hundred miles for your smiles and hugs.

    Have a super day -

    Many Blessings,
    Robyn

  12. Hi Luke! The last time I saw you, you were just an infant. Wow, you've grown, and such a handsome boy too! I can see your mom in you. Luke, I pray for healing, peace in your heart, and strength. I also pray, that you remember to laugh, sometimes the best medicine. And I also pray for the rest of your family. That they may find refuge in friends, family and prayers. I love you all, and pray for you often. God's peace and healing.

  13. Luke,
This is our prayer for you.
Lord, you said in your word that anything we ask according to Your will, it shall be done. So we are asking in the name of Jesus, according to Your word, that You heal Luke.We know it is Your will to heal him Lord, and for that we believe we receive his healing.By His stripes, he was healed. No weapon formed against him (Luke) shall prosper, for You have given Your angels charge over him to keep him in all his ways...Bless the Lord, ye His angels, that excel in strength, to do His will, and hearken to the VOICE of the Word of God...in Jesus name.
Awaiting to hear the good news, and to give God all the glory for doing His will here on earth as He does it in heaven, where there is no sickness or disease.
