So long and Farewell!
Well, as of today we are no longer the "proud" owners of ANY Quizno's Restaurants!!! YEAH!
Most of you probably don't even know we ever were owners. We jumped into the Quizno's adventure about 8 years ago. We started off with one store and within a few years we had three. Over the last few years they have been a thorn in our side as both my hubby and our business partners had full time jobs as well. Slowly but surely we have sold them off one by one and today we officially closed on the third and final store! My hubby probably woke up this morning and did a little irish jig or something (I don't know because I was asleep!)
I will miss the free food...but that's about it! I still LOVE a good Quizno's sandwich though!! They are toasty good! Subway doesn't even come close!!! My hubby always had this great ad idea that they should spoof the Subway Jared commercial and start off with a skinny person who gets fat and use their old tagline "Quizno's ....It's THAT good!"

Oh my gosh that sounds like SO much work. I bet a HUGE weight is lifted!! Yay for you!!
ReplyDeletecongrats... you are heading in the the fall with less work and a new house... what could be better...
ReplyDeleteOh my, you are ambitious. Three stores, a construction business, your creative business, weddings, Wahoooo! It amazes me how much more people do than me and we all have the same 24 hours. Congratulations on the sale of your last store. Love the ad idea. I always wanted to create an add for Subway but on the pregnancy realm. Pickles and ice cream sandwiches... that sort of thing. It sounded good when I was pregnant.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I hope your sides are feeling a whole lot better with the removal of the thorns!
ReplyDeletecongrats of the freedom!! i do love the BLT as Quizno's - so tasty but soooo not healthy!! it is a fun treat though.
ReplyDeletei bet your hubby did do a dance!
congrats! love the ad idea. got to say this pregnancy, i've been addicted to subway and quiznos has not helped the craving (i tried). usually, i'm a quiznos over subway fan but definitely not for these 10 months! ;)
ReplyDeleteBye Bye Quizno's thanks for a few free good meals :-)
ReplyDeleteWow! Congrats on being Quiznos free, though. I know when the "joy" runs out of a "side" business it's hard to continue plodding along - she says speaking from experience.
ReplyDeleteAt least you can check it off your "bucket list." ;O)
Oh - and I did like the ad idea. Maybe he should sell that to somebody before they steal it!
So good to be done with something you've wanted to be done with :-)
ReplyDeletei love the feel of freedom~congratulations!
ReplyDeletecongrats to you and your hubby! we'll hopefully be joining you in that "farewell" thing soon. (summit!) it too will be a relief!
ReplyDeleteI DIDN'T know that! and to think all this time you could have been hooking me up with free black angus subs on rosemary foccacia. I could eat that all day long :)!
ReplyDeleteGlad your thorns are out of your side. Not glad you were trapped in your house!
I am teaching a class on blogging at the university tomorrow. I've put you as a blog design reference on my handout, so you may be getting some more work (like you need it ;)!).
Have a great week!
