Last week our dear friends lost their father, Scott, to his battle with cancer. This week they will honor him, say goodbye to him, and reflect on the wonderfully full life that he had. So I want to lift up in prayer...
Scott's wife Jackie
His son Cory and wife Meredith
His daughter Traci and husband Nathan
and his grandkids
This family has been on a tough road over the last year and a half with a few of them battling major illnesses and through it all they have kept their eyes on the Lord and found their strength and comfort in Him. 10 and a half years ago Scott lost his first wife, Pam (Cory & Traci's mom) to ALS. So not only has he been reunited with his Lord and Savior, but he has been reunited with his first love. Although we can rejoice for Scott, that he is now healed and whole in the presence of God, we ache for our friends who now have lost both their mother and their father way too soon.
So as you go through your week, please remember to lift this family up in prayer and ask God to comfort them, to give them strength, and to give them His peace that surpasses all understanding. Pray that as a family they would be strengthened by this and drawn closer together.

I am so grateful that we don't mourn like those who have no hope. We have a hope of an eternal life with our Savior. I am praying for C&M
ReplyDeleteJoan and I join you in lifting up prayers for Cory and Tracy and Jackie and their families. It is reassuring to know that Scott and Pam are together in heaven and that the Lord is providing all of the comfort and peace that is needed by those left here on earth that loved both of them. One of the things that I will miss about Scott is his dry, wry sense of humor. What will you miss?
ReplyDeleteWow, similarity with my post. So many people hurting this time of year. Thank you for sharing.
