Does this concern anyone else?

I'm going political today............
Seems to me we are having enough trouble taking care of our own right now....so why should we be paying 20 million of taxpayer money towards the settlement of a group of people in which 30% of them would vote in terrorist leaders. This doesn't make sense. It's just shy of a month....and I don't like what I'm seeing from our new president. This is a recent Presidential Determination that Pres. Obama signed:

Presidential Determination No. 2009-15 of January 27, 2009
Unexpected Urgent Refugee and Migration Needs Related To Gaza
Memorandum for the Secretary of State

By the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 2(c)(1) of the Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1962 (the ``Act''), as amended (22 U.S.C. 2601), I hereby determine, pursuant to section 2(c)(1) of the Act, that it is important to the national interest to furnish assistance under the Act in an amount not to exceed $20.3 million from the United States Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund for the purpose of meeting unexpected and urgent refugee and migration needs, including by contributions to international, governmental, and nongovernmental organizations and payment of administrative expenses of Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration of the Department of State, related to humanitarian needs of Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza. You are authorized and directed to publish this memorandum in the Federal Register.

A little info about the terrorist regime that exists among the people in Palestine:
(and yes...I know they aren't ALL terrorsits....but can we really afford to let one...two...five...eight....ten....of them in? How many terrorists did it take to carry out 9/11?

Since June 2007, Hamas has governed the Gaza portion of the Palestinian Territories.

Hamas is considered a terrorist organization by Canada,[29] the European Union,[30][31][32] Israel,[33] Japan,[34] and the United States.[35] Australia[36] and the United Kingdom[37] list only the military wing of Hamas, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, as a terrorist organization. The United States and the European Union have implemented restrictive measures against Hamas on an international level.[38][39]
(from wikipedia)

A random sample of almost 1200 Palestinians, carried out between 29 and 31 January, has Hamas in the lead for the first time against Fatah across Palestine. Almost 29 percent said that, if legislative elections were held today, they would vote for Hamas (from www.enduringamerica.com)

  2. On Jan. 18 Israel, then Hamas, announced unilateral cease-fires, ending a devastating 23-day battle in which more than 1,300 Palestinians and 13 Israelis died.

Yes, it's a very unjust war going on. Poor Israel with their stronghold armies just being devestated.

The US press tends to be very anti-Palestinian. But, these were a few exceptions. It's so much easier to find articles that favor Israel...sadly. I find it unfair and one-sided, hmmmm....kind of like our recent election coverage :)

  3. Shouldn't we be TIGHTENING our belts when times are tough? At least, that's what we're being told to do...

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I might not have heard a thing about it from the mainstream news coverage!

  4. Thank you for an occasional POV. I'm glad not everyone is quiet.

Poor little terrorists. I have relatives who live in Lebanon (1 is natural born Lebanese). They receive from the Hamas. My relatives say most citizens are smart and simply obey and follow out of fear or ignorance!! The Hamas is like a people guided dictatorship. Everyone gets equality (poverty & a well controlled existence). My relatives say the Hamas has the ignorant liberals of the world fooled. All military strikes from them are well orchestrated. Their intent is for Israel to look really bad and fire back at the innocent. The Hamas has provided some good things but people NOTHING in life is free...ALL things come at a cost. The Hamas view life as expendable.

Money for illegals and terrorists while they ration out our healthcare.

"US expenditures" and our personal health care. They snuck this in under the wire hoping the majority of Amercians would remain naive to their dastardly doings. ALL healthcare is about to change. Medical practitioners and hospitals are being informed to only give treatment if its cost effective. Not doing so, they will be punished. H.R. 1 is going to seize your medical records in good faith of course. And the government is about to ration out health care. It wont matter what you have for insurance. And if you have a detrimental health issue...the government will view you as not being cost efficient.
