Visual Interest

So I'm at the point with the house where we are ordering trusses. That means I have to decide how to vault ceilings, or if I want them vaulted, that kind of stuff. It seems like such a boring decision, but a ceiling can actually add a lot of character to a room. Here are some pics of some ceilings that I like. I love the visual interest they can bring to a room.

    Boring is not the right word Shannon. They are all beautiful and inviting. I like the wood one myself. Your very blessed girl and deserving I'm sure of it all!

    Wow very interesting. The biggest decision I have ever had to make in regards to ceilings is 8 feet or 9 feet. But I guess you get those kind of perks when you sleep with the builder.

    I love the wood one but think it would only go in some houses. I really like the upper right hand corner one. It's all so exciting!

    Yeah--i'm loving the x-beam ceiling too. I think the vaulted wood one is gorgeous, but I've seen those at some restaurants and they always have a bunch of cobwebs between the beams that look hard to reach. What a positive thinker I am :)!

    I think they would all be beautiful but I really like the lower one. I like higher ceilings and how much larger they can make a room feel.

    I will almost always go with the vaulted if I had the choice. More room the better. That room compared to the others doesn't look as suffocating. Whatever you decide though, I'm sure it will be fine and it's all about personal preference.

    Your dad and I liked different ones. He liked the lower one and I liked the upper right one. One thing I would think about with all of those beams would be all of the cob webs. I still think that it will be great, you go girl I can't wait to see the finished project. Love Mom

    Eight, I have been typing comments to both you and One and couldn't get them to print. they would vanish. Made me frustrated cuz I can't type anyhow. So Dad typed the last comment and showed me how to use google. About the ceilings, the vaulted one is the only one I might be concerned about the cobwebs. The upper right is FABULOUS. Mom
