I've seen a few other people do this, so I thought I'd give it a try. Throw out a question.....and I will give you an answer.
Blogland is such an interesting place. We look into the lives of all these people we don't even know. Somehow we begin to feel that we are connected....in some small way. But there are times when we wonder or have questions. We want to know more. So if you want to know more about me, my life, a post, whatever... ask a question...any question...and leave a comment, Jeapordy Style (in the form of a question) ha ha!
Lurkers....feel free to "de-lurk"!!
I will answer the questions later this week.

One from "the early days"
I'm posting a link to a blog post that was one of my very first posts. To this day I still get comments on the post. People still seem to find it through sites like Tip Junkie or Today's Creative Blog. Or even from a Google Search.
Since it appears to be my most "poplular post" I thought I'd revisit it. It's a great project for a christmas gift!
So go check out my old post about how to make your own fabulous Wall Art

Thankful
I went on a date with my son tonight. He was so cute. He went to his room on his own and put a sweater on over his shirt so that he looked nice for the date. I on the other hand was just wearing my Tennessee hoodie. You see last time we went on a date he MADE me wear a dress. I HAD to be all fancy! Then when he chose where we were going to go eat it was this little mexican fast food joint. Well, lets just say the hoodie was a good choice because he chose the same little restaurant again. The best part though....dinner was only at total of $6.25 for the two of us!!! When they called our number he RUSHED to the counter before me to carry the tray to the table. Then he put the tray down and placed my plate in front of me. When I said thank you he told me "that's what a gentleman does" HOW CUTE IS HE!!!
After that we were off to Target...I know...it's not very "date like" but I had something I needed to get and he was hoping to get a toy out of the deal! He pushed the cart and at one point he wasn't looking when I stopped. He ran into my foot and his little face was just at the right height for his lip to have a run in with the shopping cart handle. YUP...he cut his lip open and there was blood. Luckily it wasn't bad...and nothing a "batmobile" toy couldn't cure! Not to mention a stop at the Target cafe for some ice cream!
As we sat in the cafe I watched a "family". The dad was saying goodbye to his two daughters. The mother...you could see the coldness in her eyes. Her arms were crossed and she wouldn't even make eye contact with him. They debated about whose weekend it was and then he kissed his girls goodbye and told them he would see them next Tuesday. As he walked out the front door of the store he called out to his girls with one last I love and a "call me anytime!"
My heart broke for that family and in that moment I was soooo grateful for mine. For my kids, my marriage, my husband, and for God.
I had to wonder in that moment what had happened to get them to that point. My hubby and I have been through some hard times in our marriage and I'm blessed by how God has taken our struggles and strengthened us. There was something inside of me that wanted to go outside and grab him and sit them down together to share with them the hope of the Lord and how with God a marriage can be restored! There is hope! I wish they knew that there is HOPE! I've seen it! I've watched God restore broken marriages. Marriages that I thought had NO chance.
Now, I realize that I have no idea what they've been through. And I'm not trying to debate what warrants divorce and what doesn't. I'm simply sharing what I've learned in my own life...NOTHING is impossible with God!!!
I pray that as my son grows up and really does start going on dates and eventually gets married that he would cling to the word of God and always choose HOPE!

Back to the drawing board
I brought the old template back because I've got some issues to work out with the new one!
You have no idea how frustrating designing can be. Between different screen widths and different browsers...sometimes it makes us designers just wanna throw the towel in! UGGGG!

Trying Something out!
Hey People...
I'm trying out a new technique with my blog design stuff. If this looks off centered or anything like that to you, please let me know and tell me what size screen you have ( 15" 17" 19" 22" )
thanks!!!! It would be very helpful
***I've determined per all the comments that the issue is the 15" screen size. So it looks like all of you 15" people are just gonna have to go buy new monitors!! LOL! Just kidding! Looks like I need to rework this idea! Oh why oh why must HTML code be so difficult!!! Why can't what I want to happen just HAPPEN!! =)

Blog Communication made easier......
Do you ever wish that when the comments come into your email's inbox that you could simply reply to it instead of having to go to their blog and leave a comment or comment on your own blog and wonder if they would come back to read it??? I do...and guess what...It can work that way. You can just automatically reply.
All people have to do is go into their profile and edit it to "show my email address"
once they do that people can directly respond back to the emails.
Yeah!!
Now everybody go and do this!
(one thing to note....this will allow an email me link on your profile as well)

It's happening....
My daughter is in her room with a friend...the door is shut and the music is PLAYING! Oh goodness...where has my little girl gone?
My son wore his cowboy hat to school yesterday. As he got out of the car to get on the bus there was this cute little blonde girl sitting in the front seat of the bus. When she saw him she got the hugest grin on her face. He walked onto the bus an plopped himself right down next to her! Oh where has my little boy gone (well...he is still little...but you know what I mean!)

Encouraged!
Megan over at Infertile Myrtle blessed me with a bloggy award! It is the "Encouraged" award. In her words she gave it to me because "she seems like a strong woman of God who encourages those around her."
I was blessed and humbled! We've never met...she's just a new bloggy friend! She calls herself infertile myrtle because she and her hubby have been trying for 6 years to have a baby. So please keep her in your prayers and ask God to provide her with a miracle!
Thanks Megan!
Here are the rules for the bloggy award:
The rules for the Encouraged Blogger Award are:
1. The winner may put the logo on their blog.
2. Put a link to the person who sent you the award.
3. Nominate 5 blogs.
4. Put links to their blogs.
5. Leave a message for your nominees.
I'm pretty new to this whole blogging and passing on awards thing, and I'm still learning about everyone in the blogosphere, so I'm gonna do my best with my limited knowledge of these ladies.
I'm now bestowing this award to these ladies:
Laurie at Tip Junkie because she is always encouraging moms in their home businesses!
Meredith at Therapeutic Ramblings because she is so good about taking what's going on in her life and being reflective about it in a way that encourages other people to do the same
Michelle A at Michelle My Belle because she encourages me to be creative
Darcy at Graphically Designing and My 3 Boybarians because she encourages me to be more professional and she amazes me with how she gets all the designs done, homeschools, and deals with a special needs child.
Jenni over at Jenn's Pen because she encourages me to simply do more!

Getting Jipped!
When I went to Tennessee a few weeks ago I discovered something....we are totally getting jipped here in the northwest!!!! I'm serious NW people! You should see the craft/decor stores they have out there. First there is Hobby Lobby. Oh my goodness all the beautiful decorative items just made me giddy! I couldn't believe how much fabulous stuff they had. Seriously....Craft Warehouse and Michael's are totally put to shame by this place! Then there was this other place called Old Time Pottery. Now, Hobby Lobby has a bit nicer decor items, but Old Time Pottery has like 10 times as much stuff. Seriously!!! Old Time Pottery is like a craft & decor store...ON CRACK!!
I really couldn't believe my eyes. It was like the size of Costco! Not only did they have seasonal decor (at really great prices) they had home decor, housewares, storage, bedding...I've included pics to try to give you an idea!
I'm not sure the pics really do it justice. But I was in awe enough to take pics of a store...does that tell you anything. AND...the prices are REALLY good! I'm telling ya NW people...WE ARE GETTING JIPPED!

Seriously?
We really need Barbara Walters to help us figure out "what is a man? what is a woman?"
Oh my goodness what is this world coming to!
All I will say is this....It is completely ridiculous that the media is actually saying that there was/is a "pregnant man" She was born female, has a vagina, cervix, uterus...and no male parts....um...that's a WOMAN!
She cut off her breasts...that doesn't make her a man. What would that mean for women who HAD to do that because of breast cancer? They are still WOMEN!! Very beautiful WOMEN!
The whole thing is absurd!

No Boys Allowed!
*****update*****
99 of you have looked at this yet only 4 people had a puberty story to tell. C'mon people! Are you WOMEN or WIMPS! Have some courage...share a puberty story!
*********************
Ok, this is a girls only post (Dad..you've been warned!)
So, puberty was a long time ago...way too long ago. I don't really remember too much about it. I remember the day I started my period. I was sitting there waiting for my friend Mindy and her parents to pick me up because we were going to be driving for 6 hours on our way to the state softball tournament. I had to sit in the car for 6 hours wearing a pad for the first time. Not to mention the fact that I had to play softball all weekend with one too! But hey....we won the tournament and we were state champions....so it wasn't all bad!
I remember sweating for the first time in PE....you know the kind of sweat that actually was stinky! It was so embarrassing to all of a sudden be getting sweatt spots under my arm pits. Do you remember that? Seriously I could take you to the exact spot in the gym where I was standing when I looked down and saw the sweat spot on my t-shirt!
I remember having growing pains in my legs when I was a kid, but growing pains in my "chest area" is something I do not remember. Do ya'll remember this? And why...please tell me why...do the books out there on puberty insist on using the term "breast buds"? That term needs to be outlawed! eeeewwww..... it just weirds me out!
So what about you? What do you remember about puberty? What we remember we will relive through our daughters...and what we don't remember....well, we will get to live through it with them anyway! Gosh, I can't wait!!!

Cute idea for Thanksgiving Invitation
On years when it is my turn to host Thanksgiving I've come up with this little tradition where my kids are actually the host and hostess. I just simply cook the food and provide my home. My kids make the invitations, and a few years ago we made napkin rings and placemats together. This will be the third year we've used them. I'm excited to pull them out again! I saw this idea on HGTV's website for invitations and it seems right up our alley. We've got tons of leaves outside on the ground since we have a ginormous maple tree in our backyard. If we end up doing it I will post pics of our...but for now, here is the HGTV pic and a link to the page....it has all the instructions on how to do it.

At the request of my sister.....
Not too proud to be from my state today though.....
Ughh...I live in a state that just accepted, by vote, assisted suicide. I'm deeply saddened and embarrassed. What is this world coming to?
As far as the new President Elect, to be honest I'm scared as heck where he will take this country morally, financially and globally. But he has been elected and come January he will be my president and I will give him the respect the office deserves.
